Ancillary Tasks
Film Magazine Cover
I have chosen to feature my film in 'Empire' magazine as it is the biggest selling film magazine in Britain, having a total readership of 790,000 adults per week. Total Film, its big rival, has a circulation of 459,000. Empire covers both popular and art house films but it is the mainstream audience that they are targetting.
It is a well established product that reaches a large audience, therefore giving my film much needed exposure. The magazine is owned by Bauer media group. They have a large media portfolio of magazines, including many well known titles such as Zoo, Bella and Mojo. In addition to this they have several Radio stations across the Uk.

My front cover has similar codes and conventions as any past Empire magazine including the layout, colours and style. I chose to display other thriller films on the cover to explain what the issues contains, this is so the whole issue can relate to my film and the cover can then look similar in genre and therefore similar when comparing the codes and conventions.
Film Poster
My proposed product placement of my film poster would have to be in film magazines like Empire and Total Film. This would enable the film poster to be seen by the same target audience in two publications. As part of my cross media marketing campaign I would also envisage my poster to be placed on billboards and bus stops. These places are ideal because there is a continuous stream of foot traffic and they are clearly visible.
